The buyer is obliged to carefully inspect and control all deliveries immediately after delivery and to notify Seadison immediately of any defects that such inspection and control may reveal. The notice should contain a detailed description of the defect and call Seadison telephone service. In any event, any notification of defects must reach Seadison within one month of delivery, after which Seadison's liability for defects, including its obligation to correct them, lapses.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Seadison shall accept, within 12 months from the date of commissioning, but not more than 15 months from the date of delivery, the following repairs for all equipment and components manufactured by Seadison:

If during the above period any part manufactured by Seadison is found to be defective in construction, material or design and such defect is not due to normal wear and tear, improper maintenance or mishandling, the equipment must be submitted to Seadison free of charge. After delivery, Seadison shall carry out repair work and provide necessary replacements as soon as possible within normal working hours.

If the above-mentioned defects are found, they need to be repaired on the spot, and the maintenance work does not charge labor and material fees; but the buyer needs to bear the transportation, travel time, accommodation, subsistence allowances and other expenses during the stay and to and from the place. Replacement and repair parts shall be furnished ex works, excluding installation parts. In the case of other manufacturer's components forming part of Seadison's supply, repair work shall only be carried out to the extent of the responsibility of the relevant sub-supplier.

The repair work consists only of the above and the buyer is not entitled to any compensation or damages. Seadison is under no obligation to cover any costs incurred by the Buyer for the discovery of defects or repairs of the supplied equipment, unless otherwise agreed.
